Write a list
If you write out a packing list, and tick each item off when you’ve packed it, you won’t forget anything. There will likely be items you will need right up such as toothbrushes and medication, so write a final list and leave it in a prominent place.

The essentials
Those items you simply can’t travel without. Your passports, documents and tickets, bank cards etc.
Clothing and shoes
You’ll need your summer clothes for the warm weather of Cyprus, but do pack a jumper or light jacket for when you land back home and feel the chill. Don’t forget your swimwear and suitable footwear such as sandals and flip flops for those days round the pool and at the beach. A sun hat to protect you from the heat of the sun is also a wise item to pack.
Toiletries and first aid
You’ll want to pack all the items you use on a regular basis, but do look out for travel sized products to save space. Some basic medications can give you peace of mind such a travel sickness tablets, paracetamol and the like. Certainly don’t forget the sun cream. With around 340 days of sunshine a year in Cyprus, you’re going to need it as soon as you arrive. Pack versatile clothing choose items that will work just as well on a stroll along the sea front as they will for an evening meal. Check if your hotel offers pool towels. When you don’t have to take your own, it will save you a lot of space. Consider ultra-light luggage to give you that little extra leeway with the weight allowance.
