Musical Sundays: Throughout winter and spring, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) organizes a series of free concerts every Sunday at the Onisilos Seaside Theatre. A great way to experience traditional Cypriot music.

New Year Regatta Sailing Event: Limassol’s New Year Regatta is one of the most prestigious sailing events in the sporting calendar. Organized by the Cyprus Yachting Association, the exciting event brings together competing yachts from all over the island and beyond.


“Apokreo” Carnival Festival: February brings the colorful carnival to the streets of Limassol. A ten-day carnival celebration, which includes vibrant masquerade parades, street performances and concerts.


International Limassol Marathon GSO: Having managed to earn the accreditation of AIMS and IAAF, the Limassol Marathon GSO is expanding into a big athletic celebration where marathon runners from all over the world will meet to compete and at the same time enjoy a memorable experience.

Cyprus Sunshine Cup: An international mountain bike series throughout Tochni, Kalavasos and Amathus areas. Participation in the races with combination of a training camp in Cyprus, is a must for many international elite mountain bikers.



Cyprus Film Days: The Festival, which is the official feature film festival of Cyprus, aspires to become a meeting point for cinema professionals from the three continents surrounding the island of Cyprus. Co-organised by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture and Rialto Theatre.,


Street Life Festival: This hip and hugely successful annual event celebrates urban art, music, street performance, sport, natural  therapies and food. Suitable for all ages.

The Ballet Festival: The festival, organized by the Municipality of Limassol at the atmospheric Municipal Garden Theatre, is considered to be among the most important artistic events in Cyprus. A number of worldwide known ballets are participating in the festival including the Ballet of Saint Petersburg, the Bolshoi Ballet and the Kremlin Ballet.



 “Kataklysmos” Festival of the Flood: A Greek Orthodox festival with strong pagan roots focusing primarily on water, Kataklysmos or Festival of the Flood, marks the day of the Holy Spirit. The festival features a fair, boat trips and more, and takes place at Molos multifunctional seaside park.

Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival: The festival is an important international dance event, attracting a number of Cypriot and International dance companies and performers,presenting the evolution of contemporary dance internationally.

Russian-Cypriot Festival: The festival takes place at Molos area, along the Limassol seafront, where a weekend entertainment extravaganza featuring musicians, artists, singers and fireworks, celebrates the special relationship shared between these two nations.




Amathusia Festival: A weekend of free concerts in the atmospheric ruins of the Ancient Agora of Amathunta features both contemporary and traditional Greek music and dance performances.

Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival: Rialto Theatre hosts this great music festival (a member of the European Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals), as series of musical events on Heroes Square open to the public, aiming at the development of the culture of tolerance and acceptance in a multicultural world.

Commandaria Festival: This annual event celebrates the rural heritage of the picturesque villages of the Kouri and Xylourikou valley, where the commandaria wine is still made today, and features music, dance, exhibitions, wine production demonstrations and commandaria tastings.


Lemesos International Documentary Festival: The festival is organized by the Brave New Culture organization and the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, dedicated in presenting contemporary creative documentaries in Cyprus.


Limassol Wine Festival: Celebrating Cypriot winemaking tradition dating back 4000 years, this popular festival is the perfect opportunity to sample the products of the island’s finest wineries. In a fitting tribute to the Greek god Dionysus, the “madness, ecstasy and wine” includes a feast of local delicacies, traditional theatre, music, dance and demonstrations, making it a fun event for the whole family.


Historic Car Rally: The  “Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens” (FIVA) in cooperation with LESPA-FIPA, The antique Car Club of Cyprus organize the Historic Car Rally.,

International Short Film Festival of Cyprus: The festival promotes the cinematographic art by presenting a diverse showcase of the best short films from Cyprus and around the globe. The primary focus of the annual, seven-day festival in Limassol, is its International and National Competition.

Lemesia: One of the biggest annual international sporting events in Cyprus, Lemesia focuses on professional athleticism while it also aims to promote participation in sports to Limassolians.


Christmas Wonderland Village: The festive Christmas Wonderland Village which takes place around the Enaerios, includes ice skating rink, a variety of amusement games, face painters, clowns and children’s Christmas workshops.

Zivania Festival: The villages of Alona and Pelendri host the annual Zivania festival, an event which aims to promote Cypriot products, support viticulture and encourage tourism to rural areas. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the distillation process of Cyprus’ traditional spirit Zivania, as well as taste several traditional delicacies, including palouze, local cured meat, fruit and other products, offered free of charge.



Christmas Celebrations: Stroll down Anexartisias street through the Christmas Village, by the sounds of classical Christmas carols performed by the Limassol Municipality Brass Band. Enjoy ample Christmas shopping, fantastic theatre shows and seasonal activities.
